Bracket Racing Rules
A single car may enter once in
any class it is legal for.
A driver may enter each class
once.
We ask that you courtesy stage although you will not be
disqualified for not doing so. Auto start will be on at all times
in all bracket classes except Jr. Dragsters. Deep staging is not
allowed. Staging must be with the front tires of the vehicle only.
There must be at least 3" ground clearance for all parts of the
race vehicle as it sets on the starting pad.
If either of your stage bulbs are out when the tree activates, you
will get a red light. The three bulb timer is also on in all
classes. Once your opponent has both stage lights on, and you have
the pre stage on, you will get a red if you do not stage in a
timely manner. If you have problems after crossing the head of
staging line you will given 2 minutes to start and pull to the
water box. If you fail to move into the water box in the 2
minutes your opponent will receive a competition bye. If you
have problems once you have passed the line that marks the entry
into the water box your opponent will be given a single once the
starter has determined you cannot make it to the line in a
reasonable amount of time. This call is the starter's discretion.
Dial-ins must be on the car and visible from tower.
Dial-ins may not be changed after crossing the line
at the head of staging.
In the case of a track delay you may be able to
change your dial-in with permission of track officials and
notification of your opponent.
It is the
drivers responsibility to check your dial in before you stage.
If you stage, you have accepted the dial in on the scoreboard.
If excessive breaking causes
loss of control, you will be given ONE warning.
The second time will be a
disqualification. This call is made by track officials only!
(If your tires smoke we will
consider this excessive braking and you will be warned for the
first instance and disqualified for the second).
When entering the staging lanes drivers must pull immediately to
the end of a line. Once you choose the lane you are in you
may not at any time change lanes unless instructed by a track
official. Any change in lanes may result in disqualification
from the round.
A driver may enter each class only
once. A car may enter each class only once. You must
finish the race with the car you started in. If your car
breaks you may not substitute another car.
