Rules for Racing
Anyone caught drinking and racing will be banned from the track
permanently!!
Seatbelt/ Harness:
Seat belts are required in all cars. Five point harness
required in any vehicle running 12 seconds or faster in the 1/4
mile, 10 seconds in the 1000 foot, or 7.75 in the 1/8
mile.
Helmet:
Helmets are recommended for all cars for safety
reasons. Helmets are required on cars running 12 seconds or
quicker in the 1000 foot and 14 seconds in the 1/4 mile.
Snell 80 or newer is recommended.
Roll Bar/ Roll Cage:
Roll bar required on vehicles running 7.75 seconds or
faster in the 1/8 mile, 10 seconds or faster in the 1000 foot, 12
seconds or faster in the 1/4 mile. Roll cage is required on
vehicles running 6 seconds or faster in the 1/8 mile, 7.50 seconds
or faster in the 1000 foot and 10.00 seconds or faster in the 1/4
mile.
Drive Lines:
Cars with slicks must have a drive shaft loop located within six
inches of the front joint.
Floor:
Floor required to isolate driver from engine
Firewall:
Must have firewall to isolate driver from engine.
Batteries:
Batteries may be relocated to the trunk or rear of the vehicle,
all batteries must be securely mounted.
Liquid Overflow:
Catch can is required on all cars, one pint is recommended
minimum.
Transmission Cooler
Lines:
Steel line and/or braided hose highly recommended on all race
cars. A minimum of two automotive type clamps on all high
pressure rubber line at junction.
Burnouts:
No one will be disqualified for burning out across the starting
line. HOWEVER in the interest of moving the event along, we
ask that you not burnout across the line if not necessary.
Tail light:
In any racing after dark we ask that each race
vehicle have a working tail light. This is for your safety.
